Melissa started quilting in 2006 at her mothers quilt shop "The Quilting Cottage" and fell in love with fabric and quilting. In 2011, she wanted to do it full-time at home so she got her first Gammill quilting machine.  She does all of the freemotion and custom quilting.   Her husband Patrick joined the business in 2016 and does most of the edge to edge quilting (and makes dinner and does the dishes)

They are raising 4 kids and running Sew Shabby Quilting in American Fork, Utah.
